10 TV Shows That Got Science Completely Wrong

3. The Spreading Of The Zombie Plague - Fear The Walking Dead

AMC

The prequel series to the critically acclaimed AMC drama, The Walking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead revolves around the question of HOW everything fell completely apart to begin with. And of course, that means answering the question of how this plague spread to begin with.

The show has played it very intentionally coy with how exactly the virus started and how it spread across the planet so quickly. Now, obviously they wouldn't feel the need to do this if it were an airborne virus, since that would be the quickest and cleanest answer. No, instead the show has dropped various hints over the course of its run that lead fans to theorize that it was a waterborne virus.

There's just one problem here: not everyone on the planet has access to that infected water.

Which would be fine if the show didn't constantly beat in that this is happening to the entire planet, not just America.

Frankly where Fear tripped up is where most if not all apocalypse media trips up. That buzzkilling question of: "the WHOLE world? Really?"
