10 TV Shows That Killed Characters Unexpectedly Early
4. Krazy-8 - Breaking Bad
Nobody is saying that Breaking Bad was the sort of show to shy away from killing off its characters. That being said, its first murder came a lot earlier on than many fans would have been expecting.
By the series' third episode, Walter White was still reasonably innocent and was clearly in over his head after deciding to cook methamphetamine in order to pay for his cancer treatment. After his first batch went south, he and fellow cook Jesse found themselves having kidnapped a rival dealer, known only as Krazy-8, and believed he would kill them if he was let go.
It was decided that Walter should kill Krazy-8 in order to protect the duo. Instead, Walter bonded with him, bringing him food and beer, learning about his life and agreeing to part ways peacefully. We were led to believe that he'd be let go, right up until the point when Walter was clearing up a broken plate and noticed a large piece was missing.
Walter confronted Krazy-8 who attempted to stab him with the broken china, but failed and was brutally strangled by Walter via the bike lock around his neck. His corpse was then dissolved in a bath of hydrofluoric acid. Lovely.
