10 TV Shows That RECAST Major Characters
3. Meg - Family Guy
Meg Griffin has been as regular a part of our lives as Family Guy itself over the past two decades, but you might not have noticed that the voice of Peter and Lois' eldest child originally sounded a little bit different.
Sure, we all know that Mila Kunis is the one responsible for voicing the character over the past 20 years, but she wasn't the first one to do so. That's right, Meg was initially voiced by Lacey Chabert who offered her talents to the role throughout the first season - though she was strangely uncredited for her contributions.
However, Chabert was still in school at the time and she also played one of the main roles in Fox's Party Of Five, so it's widely believed that she had to drop Family Guy because of her busy schedule. And as a result, Kunis took over, voicing Meg from the second season onwards.
Ironically enough, neither of them were the first actress cast as Meg, as Cree Summer was the initial choice (before she was replaced by Chabert).
