10 TV Shows That RECOVERED From Jumping The Shark
10. Community
Community's first three seasons were beloved by fans and critics alike, widely praised for their superb ensemble cast, witty sense of humour and uncommonly left-field approach to sitcom storytelling.
However, disaster struck when creator Dan Harmon was fired after season three, following extensive conflicts between the reportedly "difficult" (but brilliant) Harmon and network NBC.
The result was a thoroughly shark-jumping fourth season which saw a massive decline in quality with writers David Guarascio and Moses Port taking over the show.
With a subtly different tone and writing that tried a little too hard to ape Harmon's distinct style, it felt like an awkward echo of what came before, and was largely savaged by heartbroken fans.
Thankfully NBC saw sense and re-hired Harmon for season five, which was a major return to form and hilariously pawned off the previous season's issues - namely the inconsistent character behaviours - on a gas leak.
