10 TV Shows That Were Gone Too Soon

4. Almost Human

Almost Human
Fox

Starring Karl Urban and Michael Ealy, Almost Human was set in the year 2048 where the overwhelmed police force implemented lifelike android partners for every cop. John Kennex (Karl Urban) has an I, Robot relationship with androids, as their logic-based deduction was the cause for his previous partners' death. Due to the androids' choice to leave Kennex and his partner for dead, Kennex ended up in a coma with gaps in his memory.

As the narrative progressed, it became clear that there was more to the story than meets the eye as Kennex received flashes of his lost memory returning to him. Those flashes outlined a much bigger threat and mystery that fans never got to unravel.

The heart and soul of this show was the unlikely friendship between Kennex and his new android partner, Dorian, an almost humanlike (see what we did there?) synthetic who struggles with his overwhelming emotional capabilities.

The only upside to Almost Human being cancelled is that it allowed us to see Karl Urban's portrayal as Butcher in The Boys. We had to find a positive in here somewhere because cancelling this show was a crime.

Jasmine Roberts hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
