10 TV Shows To Binge-Watch Before They Return This Fall

9. The Simpsons

The Simpsons returns on October 1, which means you've got just over a month to get through 618 episodes. No problemo, right?

Ok, so it's highly unlikely you'd make it through all of them, and just as improbable you'd actually want to, but with every new season of The Simpsons comes an excuse - as if one is needed - to glory in the sheer perfection of the show in its prime.

The Golden Age of the show (the specifics are up for debate, but roughly around Seasons 2-9) still stand as perhaps the greatest comedy ever produced for TV, but you can go even later: Season 11's Behind The Laughter does make for a nice endpoint, but it's still good (it's still good!) in parts until around Season 13. Even recent Simpsons has some gems, such as Halloween Of Horror, but they're fewer and farther between.

When the Season 29 premiere rolls around, it's a time to check-in with the Springfield residents once again, and hope that maybe something has clicked. It rarely does, but it's still The Simpsons, and those earlier seasons will always be worth watching.
