10 TV Shows That Went From Good To Great In 2013

9. Grimm (Season 3)

The Basics: Take the Brother's Grimm fairy tales from our childhoods and give them a modern twist while staying true to the original source material. What you get is an action horror show that delivers on the action and horror, while upping the stakes each season. And that's exactly why the show has not only gotten better but had become "must see TV." The Turn Up: Last season's finale left us wondering what Nick's, our hero, fate would be following his zombification. After wrapping up that storyline within the first episode of the current season, we see the consequences of not only Baron Simide's actions against Nick but also the unfolding culmination of events from the previous two seasons. What has worked in Grimm's favor is not relegating the series to a "monster of the week" formula, which is what it seemed like in the first half of season one. It has become a Gothic serial with plenty of action, emotion and just enough laughs to claw its way to being great!
