10 TV Shows You Didn't Realise Were Set In The Same Universe
4. Lost And Once Upon A Time
ABC's fantasy series Once Upon A Time was created by Lost writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, and there are a bunch of Lost references throughout that might place the two shows in the same universe.
First of all, there's dozens of references to Apollo bars, a fictional candy that originated in Lost. Back in Season 1, you can see some of the candy in Henry's bag, and they continue to pop up after that. For example, in this scene from 7:15 A.M, there's a quick moment of Mary Margaret buying some Apollo bars.
There are also references to fictional Lost band Geronimo Jackson. Emma has a bumper sticker for them on her car, Dopey wears one of their T-shirts in a few episodes, and at one point, both an Apollo bar and a Geronimo Jackson album fall out of Henry's bag.
Oceanic Airlines also exists in the Once Upon a Time universe, the fictional airline that the Lost characters took their flight on, in addition to MacCutcheon Scotch Whiskey and Exposé, Nikki and Paulo's TV series.
Sure, these might all just be fun easter eggs, but if it points to a connected universe, that's got to be one of the craziest ones out there, a universe where smoke monsters and magical islands exist and every single fairy tale character is real. Screw Hogwarts. This is the fictional world to live in.
