The OA is by far one of the most unexpected things to come out of Netflix. This series is as brilliant as it is strange and the critics raved about it when it first released in 2016. After a rather long hiatus, the second chapter in the bizarre, mystifying sci-fi series finally debuted continuing the streaming services beautiful phenomenon, with some believing it outshines its predecessor on every level.

This ambitious cult hit followed a young blind woman played flawlessly by Brit Marling, who also is a co-creator of the series. She goes through a mysterious disappearance only to return to her loved ones with the ability to see. And from there, this dazzling and divisive series goes on a wild ride crossing paths with tons of interesting, relatable characters that all culminates with a weird modern dance with extraordinary implications.

The Netflix series challenges audiences to suspend disbelief to experience something truly unique that is unlike anything else audiences have seen on TV in recent memory. The show is original, exciting and managed to turn Phyllis from The Office into a badass. What more could you want?
