Poor little Jared, this guy just can't seem to catch a break. For starters, his real name is Donald, he just got dubbed Jared by the dastardly billionaire Gavin, and everyone else followed suit. But, once you dig deeper into his life, it's safe to say a new name is a drop in the ocean compared to what he's been through.

The tragic childhood of Donald Dunn is something that unravels throughout the show. He often drops little lines here and there about his past in foster care, and at times it's enough to send shivers up your spine.

As a child, Jared was put through the wringer as he was moved around the foster care system, where he was forced to do chores and was constantly verbally abused. So, he was treated like free labour, never had a loving family, was brought up being told he looked like a "ghost" or worse, and his only friends were a "stuffed bear" made of garbage (Winnie) and an imaginary Harriet Tubman. Yikes!
