10 Unintentionally Funny Moments In Game Of Thrones

7. Rhaegal's Death

Rhaegal Death

Though the third episode of the final season had its issues, it was in the fourth episode that the cracks really started to appear.

Rhaegal’s death came out of nowhere, and after the initial shock of such an abrupt demise, it was impossible not to feel a sense of hilarity at the showrunners' complete misjudgement of the scene. Given Daenerys’ high position, fans of the show rightly pointed out the absurdity of Euron’s sizeable fleet being able to take down Rhaegal without being spotted beforehand.

In light of how easily Drogon was able to take down the Iron Fleet in the following episode, this moment becomes even more ridiculous with repeated viewings.

Sadly, Rhaegal’s death was in many ways a microcosm for much of what angered fans about the final season, as the scene was devoid of logic, and seemed to exist purely for the purpose of shocking the audience.
