10 Upcoming TV Seasons That Are Already Doomed

9. Snowpiercer (Season 4)

The Witcher Henry Cavill
Netflix

Snowpiercer's fourth season was announced to be its last while it was being shot, but this past January, several months after production wrapped, network TNT announced that they wouldn't be airing the season at all.

It was consequently revealed that this was due to TNT's parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, attempting to cut costs, deciding to take a tax write-off instead of broadcasting the episodes.

Though at the time it was said that production company Tomorrow Studios was attempting to shop the final season to other networks, six months since the announcement there's been no formal announcement about Snowpiercer's new home.

It's of course maddening for fans given that the third season finished airing back in March 2022, and knowing that the last batch of episodes are just... sitting in limbo on hard drives somewhere is extremely frustrating.

All the same, even if the matter is resolved in due course, the huge chasm of time between seasons pretty much ensures that only the die-hard Snowpiercer fans are going to stick around to see how it all wraps up.

Considering that the show's linear TV ratings were already nosediving throughout season three, there's not much hope for season four's viewership, no matter how good it might be.
