10 Upcoming TV Shows Doomed To Fail
2. Space Force
When you assemble a cast that is spear-headed by the ridiculously talented and rather expensive duo of Steve Carell and John Malkovich, you better believe that anything less than a side-splitting rollercoaster will be seen as a streaming service setback.
And sure enough, with Netflix's first season of Space Force largely underwhelming those who bothered to watch outside of its leading pair - reportedly taking home $13 million between them just to star - it's not hard to see why many were shocked to see the streaming giants green light a second season for the workplace space dramedy.
With that sort of cash being splashed on the top names alone, the margin for failure when it comes to a series of this size is intensely small, with actor Jimmy O. Yang summing the project up as "The Office that’s shot like a $100 million Marvel (movie).”
Should Carell and co. make it two-for-two when it comes to lacklustre launches, expect Space Force to join Netflix's ever-growing pile of failed experiments.
