8. Stan and Francine Have A Better Marriage Than Peter And Lois
Having that perfect balance in the family set-up results in Stan and Francine sport a better relationship than Peter and Lois. Despite their wholly different lifestyles, one a CIA agent and the other a housewife, they feel far more like equals than Lois and Peter. You have to really ask yourself why Peter and Lois are together. Theyre constantly on different worlds, with Peters mental age of about three meaning that their relationship is less husband/wife, more like son/mother. Consider the spoof murder mystery special, in the scene where Peter and Lois are in the greenhouse. They both comment on the torrential downpour of the weather outside, which leads them to argue over why, after 20 years of marriage, they still do elevator talk. And then consider the episode where Stan and Francine meet a younger couple and attempt to outdo their active, child-less lifestyle by reliving their youth. Stan and Francine essentially try to be the better couple, which is more than Peter and Lois ever do.
