2. The Spanish-Language Remake Metastasis
A remake is set for production, this time in Colombian! Going by the title of Metástasis, the series will star Diego Trujillo as, wait for it, Walter Blanco. Not the most original name, but neither is Roberto Urbina's character of Jose Miguel Rosas, with Jose obviously being Jesse. The remake will at the very least interesting to watching, provided you don't mind subtitles and it makes an appearance in English-speaking countries. It might even deliriously entertaining, if just for the curiosity of seeing a low-budget yet sincere remake of a beloved show. If nothing else, it's got curiosity appeal. Further to this, an opera based on the series was announced in October 2013 by New York composer Sung Jin Hong, which should be interesting to say the least. I for one look forward to the aria I Am The Danger, although I'd be lying if I said I knew that such a song was going to feature. But hell, a man can dream, right?
