When talking terrible Buffyverse villains, you absolutely have to include the Haxil beast, which appeared early on in Angel during the first season in the episode "Expecting." The episode features Cordelia wooed then impregnated by a famous photographer, only to find out that it's not the man's child, but that of the Haxil beast he worships - and there are seven heartbeats. As the Haxil is supposed to be gigantic, the creature - apparently a guy in a suit - was filmed separately and inserted into shots to show the size difference between it and the human characters, and the results look something like a film school student's effort. It completely takes the viewer out of the scene, and makes the episode one of the most forgettable in the entire Buffyverse. Luckily, Buffy and Angel got things right a lot more than they failed, so these terrible villains are just a blip on the radar of two great shows.
