Jeff grows increasingly suspicious that Elroy doesn't like him due to the fact that he seems to leave the room whenever the two of them are alone. Meanwhile, Britta's old love interest Subway is back but this time in the form of a Honda advertiser named Rick.

Why it sucks: The idea of somebody being a walking talking embodiment of a corporation is a great idea but rehashing it just reminded me that it was never fully executed to its full potential in the first place. Although Rick's transformation into a Honda spokesperson is a better story than the Subway one, he never felt like a character that was worth revisiting. On top of that, despite the B storyline being about how Elroy doesn't seem to like Jeff, he hardly gets any screen time which results in the mystery of it having very little payoff.

What doesn't suck: I love that the Community writers don't hide the product placement but instead just run with it and make self deprecating jokes about themselves by using Rick as a literal embodiment of the show being financed and controlled by their sponsors. Also Chang's PowerPoint presentation is gold.

I see my role at WhatCulture the same way my wife sees my role as a lover: I contribute in a very small way, my presence is barely noticeable and I’m not entirely sure if the laughter is at me or with me.
