10 Worst Things Homer Simpson Has Done

Being so reckless with your guns that the NRA kick you out is a pretty obvious indicator of just how poor Homer’s firearm etiquette is, especially given that Moe demonstrates a prototype to turn one gun into five in the same episode. Also, there’s the fact he lies about getting rid of the gun to Marge twice, which doesn’t exactly make him husband of the year.

Homer uses his gun for everything: opening his beer, turning on the TV, getting Lisa’s basketball down from the roof... it’s only due to Lisa’s intervention that he doesn’t use it to get Snowball II down as well.

While guns are more dangerous than most of Homer’s interests, his behaviour can be somewhat expected. He tends to get overexcited about things, and it normally makes him quite loveable.

The worst part though is that he lies to Marge about getting rid of the gun. Bart finds it and is moments away from shooting Milhouse, leading to Marge taking the kids to a motel. Even when Homer goes to her contrite, it turns out he’s still packing heat, using it to stop Snake from robbing the motel. He ultimately fails anyway, and Marge confiscates the gun for good.
