10 Worst Things Lisa Simpson Has Ever Done

Lisa is just an utter train wreck throughout My Sister, My Sitter. There are definitely worse episodes in the Golden Era (The Principal & The Pauper comes to mind), but there’s not many which are more mean spirited.

The episode sees Lisa starting a moderately successful babysitting gig, while the subplot introduces the Springfield Squidport, a boardwalk which goes on to become a permanent part of the town. Marge and Homer want to go to the opening gala, but can’t find a sitter; the two plots collide when they decide to leave Lisa is charge.

Bart wreaks havoc, ordering several hilarious things to their house, refusing to go to bed, and feeding Maggie caffeinated ice cream.

Whether or not you feel this is a bad thing Lisa did depends on culpability. Bart has famously proved too much for babysitters to handle in the past, and was always going to react poorly to Lisa being in charge. The banging of his head off the wall and jumping down the stairs was all his fault too.

However, loading him in a wheelbarrow and Maggie in a cat carrier to get secret help rather than just doing what was best for Bart’s injuries was all her.
