6. Everything About Drawn Together
Comedy CentralAn animated spoof of reality TV shows, the abrasive Drawn Together was everything a controversial show should be: anarchic and subversive, yet undeniably innovative. The characters, a mix of recognisable cartoon figures with stereotypical reality TV contestant personalities, include a spoiled, bigoted Disney princess, a narcissistic superhero with absolutely no redeeming qualities, and a strange Pokemonesque character who is given to random outbursts of gibberish. Despite being outrageous throughout, perhaps the most WTF moment came in the episode 'A Very Special Drawn Together Afterschool Special.' At the request of nerdy elf Xandir, who wants to come out as gay to his unaccepting parents, the housemates conduct a roleplay to help him cope with mum and dad's reactions. Inevitably, this gets way out of hand, leading to violence, prostitution and murder, eventually culminating in a hilarious stand off between the characters and the police. The result is that the viewer, even if he or she manages to follow the plot within the plot and then the plot around that, is reduced by episode's end to a puddle of WTF-ery. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d71vhVweqo
