8. X-Men
I was never a comic book kind of kid. So my first point of entry into superheroes were the cartoons they starred in. My favourite of all of these? X-Men. I was transfixed by the stories about this bunch of ragtag misfit mutants, and their struggles to defeat evil while the world at large misunderstands. It also proved that a great theme doesn't need lyrics to keep a child attentive. The incredible guitar riff underscoring the introduction to the heroes and their powers was the perfect way to begin, and made me pick up the infamous air guitar and play to the adoring millions watching me in my mind while I melted their faces with a piece of cartoon musical genius.
