11 Greatest TV Villains Of 2015 (So Far)

3. Reverse-Flash - The Flash

Although it€™s strongly hinted at, it isn€™t confirmed until late in The Flash€™s debut season that Harrison Wells is actually Eobard Thawne, aka the Reverse-Flash. Travelling back from the future, he was responsible for killing Barry Allen€™s mother, but ended up stuck in the present day. With no way back to his timeline, he assumed the identity of Wells and played the long-game - the very long-game - waiting for Barry to grow up, so he could become The Flash and Wells could regain the use of the Speed Force. He€™s an excellent villain because there€™s so much to him that seems to be working for good, as he constantly helps Barry to develop his powers and also survive and defeat the bad guys. Yet he is really just servicing his own needs, always checking the future to ensure it remains on the right path. He€™s willing to do anything it takes to get back there, such as killing Cisco (even if it is later reversed), and is shown to be not just equal to Barry, but even faster and stronger than him, and a scientific genius to boot.
