Season 6 was something of a mixed bag. While it had some excellent episodes - the Morgan centric Here's Not Here, and the final run before Negan's arrival - it also contained a few controversial moments.

The show doubled-down on the season-ending cliffhanger by dragging it out further in the Season 7 premiere, but they made another mistake earlier in the season which pissed people off just as much, if not more.

After seeing Glenn seemingly eaten alive early in the season, we then had to wait a number of episodes before any confirmation either way, when it transpired he miraculously slipped under a dumpster and survived, and the guts belonged to Nicholas.

Naturally, a lot of fans weren't happy about it, and it did lead to a jump in criticism of the series. Kirkman described it as a "storytelling experiment", and the show then went on to kill Glenn for real, so we can forget all about the fake-death we had to endure.
