It was an incredibly tough choice between these top two actors, but this is Rick Grimes' show, and Andrew Lincoln has carried it through thick and thin. TWD isn't perfect, that's for certain. Just when it seems to be going well, an underwhelming run of episodes are churned out, and the process is repeated endlessly. However, throughout all of these times, Lincoln was consistently turning Rick into a genuine legend. He's gone through every emotion possible, from losing his wife to gaining a daughter in the same moment. He found out his wife was sleeping with his best friend after they assumed he was dead. He's had to learn to kill, and kill, and kill some more just to protect people he would never have met before civilisation ended. Lincoln is intense and plays the part perfectly, though he also still harbours a perfectly reasonable air of instability and uncertainty after being thrown into a completely unique situation. The show lives and dies with Lincoln, but when will that come?
