9. The Cartmans Arent As Poor As You Might Think
During the episode 'The Poor Kid', Kenny and his family are sent to a foster home and this inadvertently makes Cartman the poorest kid in school (and the target for ridicule), despite his mother working two jobs to support them. Using knowledge about Cartman's mother and some extrapolating of this, some fans think that the Cartmans may not actually be poor at all. One famous and hilarious running gag is that Cartman's mother is actually a lady of the night. When she mentioned she already works 'two jobs', fans immediately latched on and took this to mean one legitimate job during the day whilst 'servicing' clients during the night. But since prostitution is illegal, Cartman's mother can't report the revenue from her second job on her taxes, meaning that the money from her second job has to remain a secret. This also explains how Cartman's mother is single and working, and yet she somehow manages to spoil her son with the latest toys and gadgets. In fact, the Cartmans might well be one of South Park's wealthier families as there are a number of episodes that allude to Cartman's mother's second job and how she has lots of happy clients. This definitely takes the 'being a single mum is hard' thing to a whole new level of hilarity.
My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem.
Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh.
