1. It Truly Was A Shawshank Redemption
Phil becomes increasingly jealous of Todd as he and Melissa really hit it off. Todd tells Melissa that his favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption which is her favorite movie as well. Phil doesn't want to be left out so he tells them that it is his favorite movie, too. He stupidly told them that how much he enjoyed Tom Hank's performance in it. Tom Hanks was not actually in The Shawshank Redemption, Phil later learns. He tries several times to make Todd look unappealing to Melissa but every plan backfires on him. Phil finally has a real moment with Melissa in front of Gary and all of his other Wilson-inspired friends. She asks him what his favorite movie really was and he told her it was The Godfather. She told him that it was her second favorite movie and humorously added that "Tom Hanks was phenomenal in it." Phil then poured out his heart to Melissa who then brutally rejected him. Ouch.
