1. Bicycle Girl
Undoubtedly the most memorable Walker from the entire show is the Bicycle Girl (known as such because seeing her made Rick fall off a bicycle). She is the first Walker that Rick encounters in the very first episode "Days Gone By", crawling along the ground with her bottom half missing and her entrails dragging along behind her. He flees from her, terrified. However, the following day he returns to find her, following her tracks to do so. He apologises for what has happened to her before shooting her in the head in a mercy killing, while she reaches out to him. A webisode entitled "A New Day" shows her story and how she came to be like that. In life she was called Hannah and, while trying to get her children to safety amidst the madness of the Walker apocalypse, she is bitten by one. In order to keep her children safe from her when she inevitably turned and to divert other Walker's attention from her children, she sacrificed herself to a group of Walkers who ripped her in half.
