12 Most Rewatchable TV Shows Of All Time

4. Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Another Joss Whedon show, and still the writer/director's greatest work, Buffy is a show that, despite being rooted in the 90s, never really seems to age: it's always a fun experience, but one with a lot of nuances and emotional depth too.

Saving the world and surviving high school makes for a potent mix, and a relatable one at that. The show does have occasional rough patches, but it's never bad and can actually be appreciated more for their ambition on rewatch, while Whedon's now trademark witty dialogue is at its very best here.

The action is thrilling, there's genuine tension and the occasional real scare, but most of all the characters are just worth spending time with; seeing their relationships, watching their development and growth. It's easy to dip in and out of favourite episodes once you know it well enough, but there's drama, happiness, heartache, and pure entertainment in going through the whole thing again.

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
