Who It Could Be: From this description, and the fact it seems to tie in with that of the 7-year-old boy, theres a good chance this will be Neds older brother Brandon, who as we know was the Stark that Catelyn was originally supposed to marry, before his death during Roberts Rebellion. He may not have a key part himself, but it makes sense that hed be there if were seeing Neds childhood. The possible alternative, although less likely, is that were seeing a flashback from Littlefingers point of view; after all, he was besotted with Catelyn, and bested in a duel in Brandon, although the ages suggest theyd be a bit too young for this.
