12 Northern Stereotypes Game Of Thrones Gets Completely Right

11. Northerners Are Harder Than Southerners

We love a good scrap up here. It€™s not even that we necessarily seek it out (though a quick walk down Newcastle's imfamous Bigg Market on a Saturday night would show you plenty who do), but if we€™re put in a position where one option is to fight, we€™ll do just that. We are tough; we have a tough history, we come from tough industries like mining and ship-building, we have to be tough because we€™re so bloody cold all the time. As a region, the North is not famed for its luxury, its famed for its industry. Whilst Joffrey€™s being carried around in a box like a transplant heart, Jon, Theon and Robb are practicing absolutely braying each other in the yard. When Jon Arryn and Ned Stark pose a threat to the Lannisters, they have them disposed of, sneakily. When Robb finds out what€™s happened to his father, he takes the entire North to war over it.
