12 Small Details You Only Notice Rewatching Breaking Bad

1. Foreshadowing Gus' 'Two Face' Moment

When it comes to iconic images from Breaking Bad, it doesn't get much bigger than Gus doing up his tie with half of his face missing.

The writers planned this moment meticulously for months, making sure it was set in stone so the visual effects artists had enough time to get the design looking just right, but that also meant the filmmakers had plenty of time to include a bunch of hints towards the drug kingpin's eventual demise.

A few of the earliest examples, such as the burnt bear, can probably be chalked up to coincidence, but there's a bunch in Season 4 that have to have been intentional.

First up is the strange mask found in Gale's apartment that's missing detail on half of its 'face'. Next is the flashback with Gus after Max is shot, where he briefly appears on the ground, only half of his face visible. Finally there's the moment where he meets Jesse in the basement of the hospital and, again, the right half of his face is shrouded in shadow.

In hindsight, the hints are so obvious it's surprising nobody guessed it beforehand.
