13 Most Despicable Scumbag Characters In TV History

1. Walter White - Breaking Bad

The phrase despicable scumbag doesn't even begin to describe Heisenberg: he screwed Jesse over countless times, in the worst ways possible, caring for him like he was his son before eventually and shockingly issuing a hit on him. He told his wife Skyler over and over that he "did it all for them": all of the meth cooking and dealing, killing, lying, hurting the people closest to him... When you think about it, that is a pretty awful thing to say to someone. And the scene in the picture above was one of the most horrifying in Breaking Bad - even if they had that phone call to "protect" her as the police was listening in, the things he said went very far. Skyler wasn't a popular character, but even she didn't deserve that. And it doesn't end there. How about when Walt ran Hank and himself into a car accident to prevent Hank from finding out about his business? Or when he let Jane (Jesse's girlfriend) choke on her own vomit while he watched? Or shooting Mike? Or forcing Jesse to kill Gale, and poisoning Brock, Jesse's then girlfriend's little kid, to use him in his war against Gus Fring? Or killing Gus with a bomb at a nursing home? He might be a man driven to his actions, but the manner of them still suggests that he takes more pleasure in them than he probably should. The list of horrible scumbag things Walter White did is seemingly endless, and it's hard to see past him as the outright winner of any rundown of TV scumbags. Did we miss anyone?
