Woody Allen is making his first foray into television.

The veteran director, known for his impressive production-rate (if not always quality nowadays), has teamed up with Amazon to create his first TV series, which he's written, directed, and is starring in.

Set in 1960s New York (where else?), a turbulent time for America, and centre on a married couple (Allen and Elaine May), their houseguest and his fiancee (John Magaro and Rachel Brosnahan), who all have their views challenged and lives changed by a young hippie (played by Miley Cyrus) who visits their house. Allen's name alone makes it interesting, and there's always the chance this will be one of his good ones.
