15 Best American Horror Story Deaths

13. Rosie & Mark - Cult

American Horror Story Bitchcraft
FX

Rosie & Mark aren't characters that will likely be recognised immediately by just their names. The two were very much minor characters in Cult, and appeared in just one episode, not even surviving that. While their names may not be memorable, the way that they were killed certainly is.

Rosie suffered from an irrational fear of caskets and of being buried alive. She and her husband attended therapy sessions to address her phobias and how they affected their marriage, and appeared to making strong progress.

However, one night at home the couple were confronted by two caskets. After being forced inside by Kai's clowns, the coffins were sealed shut, leaving Rosie and Mark to suffocate and die, only to be discovered several days later.

Pinpointing one's deepest and darkest fears, honing in on it, and exploiting it to such levels as this is exactly why Kai Anderson is one of American Horror Story's most terrifying villains. There are countless ways he could have killed Rosie and Mark, but he chose the way that would offer them the most amount of pain and suffering.
