15 Best TV Episodes Of 2015

8. Daredevil - Cut Man

Your outfit kind of sucks, by the way Aka the one with *that* fight sequence. You could go into other episodes of Daredevil - the terrific finale, and episode 8 (which gave us Fisk's backstory) both deserve a mention - but when it comes back to remembering the series, this is the one that stands out. The first episode of Daredevil was solid, and the second ramped that up to the next level. Still, it wasn't until that final scene it became essential viewing, and it was in that moment that changed what this series was. Not just another Marvel product, but something actually completely different from what we're used to from the studio, and it was the fight scene that captured all of that perfectly. Taking place in a corridor, and filmed in one long take, it was brilliantly brutal. There was no sugar-coating, no over-stylisation, no punches-pulled. It felt incredibly real and alive; you could visibly see Matt Murdock tiring, rather than him just being a superhero who could fight endlessly and take no end of damage. You couldn't take your eyes off this scene, and that in turn led to not being able to take your eyes off the rest of the season.
