15 Most Overrated TV Shows Of The Decade (So Far)

6. 2 Broke Girls

The Show: A New York-set sitcom following roommates, Max Black (Kat Dennings) and Caroline Channing (Beth Behrs), as they attempt to save up cash working as waitresses so they can start their own cupcake company. Why It's Overrated: Though in fairness 2 Broke Girls has always elicited mixed reviews from critics, it still manages to pull in 7-10 million viewers per episode in its current fourth season. While it's hard to argue with the chemistry between the lead actors, the show's script is surprisingly coarse for a homogenised sitcom, relying heavily on an abundance of sexual innuendo and divergences into racial humour which feel wildly outdated. Plus, given the ridiculous attention the series plays to Dennings' breasts throughout, it's hard not to feel like the show is cynically pandering to hormonal males the world over. Sadly, unlike a few of the sitcoms on this list, it's not even blandly inoffensive: it's actually pretty offensive quite a lot of the time.
