15 Small Details You Only Notice Rewatching Stranger Things

2. A Familiar Crew Of Journalists

The Starcourt Mall debacle of Season 3 made its way to the pages of nearby newspapers before the burnt out remains of the relatively new Hawkins establishment could stop smouldering. It's understandable when you think about it because it's not every day that a local mall burns down in mysterious circumstances with the police chief and 30 thought-to-be-missing people apparently perishing in the blaze.

It's practically unheard of, true, but what isn't unheard of are the names of the journalists that brought the news to the attention of their readers.

Caitlin Schneiderhan - who was billed as the reporter that wrote the story about Hopper's apparent death - is actually a crew member who has now become part of Season 4's writing team, Brad Tobler - who is named as the writer on Hawkins' government corruption story - is a VFX editor on the show and both Andrea Knoll and Caleb Heymann - who apparently worked on the story of Mayor Kline's, well, decline - actually work on the show respectively as the VFX producer and director of photography.

It was nice of the creative team to reference some of the hard-working crew who don't always get the credit because of their time spent working behind the scenes and this was undoubtedly an innovative way to make it happen.
