15 Small Details You Only Notice Rewatching Stranger Things

10. Lucas Predicted He Would Get The Girl

Foreshadowing seems to be one of the things that Stranger Things does best. We've already discussed how Mike's Dungeons & Dragons campaign set the stage for the first season's adventure, but it was a different game that ultimately acted as a precursor to one of the second season's subplots.

In one of the season's opening scenes, the kids headed to the arcade and played the classic Dragon's Lair - in which the brave knight has to rescue Princess Daphne. A game that Lucas is the renowned high-scorer on, Dustin attempted to outdo his friend but ultimately fell at the final hurdle - to which Lucas remarked that his bestie was 'just not nimble enough' and that even though he'd 'get there one day', Princess Daphne was still his.

This is pretty ironic considering how the season panned out as both Lucas and Dustin were engaged in a friendly battle to win the affection of their new friend Max. And even though Dustin once again fought valiantly, it was Lucas who Max ultimately fell for.

Thankfully, Dustin found his own soulmate in Suzie the following season and they went on to tell their, ahem, Never-Ending Story.
