15 Superhero Voice Actors Who Totally Nailed Their Characters

1. Mark Hamill: The Joker

Joker Batman: The Animated Series
Warner Bros. Animation

Mark Hamill's Joker is, without question, the finest clown prince we've ever gotten.

Although it seems absurd to think that there was a time where Hamill would be considered a surprise fit for The Joker, having been synonymous with the part of Luke Skywalker all his career, it's important to remember just how well the actor transformed himself for the role. The voice, the laugh - all the things Hamill brings to the role have made his turn as the rogue the most authentic, on the big screen and off.

Like Sorkin and Conroy, Hamill has played the character in a variety of different mediums, taking a particularly famous role in Rocksteady's Arkham series and, more recently, in the animated adaptation of The Killing Joke. While the film did stumble in its opening act, Hamill's part - particularly during his rendition of the 'Loony' song inside the fairground park - was as flawless as ever.

While it remains to be seen whether or not we'll get to see him take on the part again, having retired from it on so many different occasions in the past, it's safe to say he's left behind a massive legacy for The Joker. The character's always been special, but there's just something about Hamill's performance that elevates the villain to terrifying levels of crazy.
