15 Superhero Voice Actors Who Totally Nailed Their Characters

14. Christopher Daniel Barnes: Spider-Man

Christopher Daniel Barnes' turn as the wallcrawler remains the most fondly remembered iteration of the character in animation, and so it should come as no surprise that one of the principle reasons behind the series' success was the voice actor, who really nailed the older version of Parker that the show opted for.

It was quite a cartoon-y version of the webslinger, but Barnes was in no way restrained in his approach to the role. Indeed, the series' black suit saga in particular called for a much darker version of the character, and seeing that side of everyone's favourite neighbourino was, whilst indeed a departure for the character, and for kids TV, pretty dramatic. Barnes' role in translating Parker's transformation to the smallscreen cannot be overstated in this instance, with the show going on to enjoy a four year stint on TV, complete with plenty of character development.

While there have been other smallscreen Spideys to have left their mark on the character, Barnes' is by far the most iconic. You can even hear him as Spider-Man 2099 in 2010's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.
