12. George Newbern: Superman

Tim Daly may have been the first Superman to grace the DC Animated Universe, but it was George Newbern who really personified the character during his time on Justice League.
This might be down to the material Newbern had to work with, especially since a lot of it pushed the character into darker territory than Superman: The Animated Series did. But hey, he got to play the character in what is arguably the best animated sequence of DC Animation, so there's that too.
The stuff that Dwayne McDuffie and co. did with Superman during the series was so interesting, especially in regards to the Cadmus storyline. Newbern's Superman anchors the plot wonderfully, and, when faced with a Darkseid-led invasion, he really lets loose in the role. He's by far the best Superman we've seen in animation, and one we can only hope DC's live action contingent will try and emulate soon.
