The reunion also solved one of the show's low-key nagging mysteries that's bugged fans for literally decade at this point - the enigma of the disappearing beam in Monica and Rachel's apartment.

The wooden beam was visible in many early-season episodes on the left-hand side of Mon and Rach's apartment, though eventually vanished without a trace.

Early in the special this is discussed by Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer, who notice the prop on the resurrected apartment set and discuss that it was ultimately removed for blocking reasons, because it limited the camera's freedom to capture the actors.

When Matt LeBlanc enters the set later in the reunion, he's immediately taken aback that the beam has returned. "The beam is back!", he says with amused surprise.
