5. Minority Report
Theres an ongoing trend for TV shows that are based on movies, with the likes of Fargo and Hannibal enjoying great success, while Scream will be the next attempt well see, airing on MTV this summer. Its set to continue in the autumn as well, with a small screen take on Minority Report, thats set up to be a sequel (of sorts) to the original film. The movie, which was itself an adaptation of a story by Philip K Dick, was based around precrime - i.e. stopping crimes before they happen. Set 10 years after the events of the film, this will focus on a former precog who is struggling to lead a normal life, and still haunted by visions of the future, until he meets a detective wholl give him a reason to use his gift.
