17 Most Exciting New TV Shows You Need To Watch This Fall
17. Of Kings and Prophets
Biblical epics havent fared particularly well of late, neither on TV (A.D.: The Bible Continues) nor film (Noah; Exodus: Gods and Kings), but that isnt going to stop them from trying. The latest effort is Of Kings and Prophets, which will be based on the Books of Samuel. It will follow Saul, the King of Israel (set to be played by Ray Winstone), his family and his rivals, its described as an epic Biblical saga of faith, ambition and betrayal as told through the eyes of a battle-weary king, a powerful and resentful prophet and a resourceful young shepherd on a collision course with destiny. Its stuff thats been done before, but this one promises a fair bit more political intrigue, as well as sex and violence, which should help it stand apart. https://youtu.be/WNaclDZEn_U
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
