It seemed that once Sutter cast one of The Shield€™'s many alumni in Sons Of Anarchy, the rest began beating down his door. First, there was Jay Karnes (Detective Holland €˜Dutch€™ Wagenbach), recast as rogue ATF agent Josh Kohn. Kenny Johnson (Curtis Lemansky) played biker Herman Kozik, while the perennially underrated David Marciano (Steve Billings) knocked it out of the park with his all too brief portrayal of Juice€™'s strange friend Chicken Man.

David Rees Snell (Agent Grad Nicholas in SOA, Ronnie Gardocki in The Shield), Benito Martinez (Luis Torres/David Aceveda), and CCH Pounder (DA Tyne Patterson/Claudette Wyms) rounded out the shared players up until the final stretch of the seventh season, when Sutter finally found a way to insert Michael Chiklis into his biker melodrama as the sun set upon the MC, making him the eighth and last member of the main cast of his previous hit to appear.

And let's not forget Sutter himself, playing hitman Margos Dezerian in The Shield and Otto Delaney in Sons Of Anarchy. With Chiklis' appearance right in the dying episodes of the show, Catherine Dent (Danny Sofer), Michael Jace (Julien Lowe), Cathy Cahlin Ryan (Corrinne Mackey), Glenn Close (Monica Rawling), and Paula Garces (Tina Hanlon) are the only main cast members from The Shield to never appear on Sons of Anarchy.
