17 Visually Stunning TV Opening Credits

4. Mozart In The Jungle

True Detective
Amazon Prime Video

Simplicity is sometimes best, and visuals can often work in tandem with musical accompaniment. Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle follows a musical genius taking an unorthodox approach to classical music in New York. The title-cards for season two are short, yet flourish with musical and visual motifs.

Each episode, different musical instruments accompany a pulsing menagerie of colourful lines and shapes that swipe and beat along the screen. It’s a wonderfully playful approach that visualises each instrument that plays the theme song’s upbeat scores.

As the season progresses, the music becomes more and more complicated until episode 10, where every shape explodes onto the screen. It’s an opening credit that rewards keen-eyed and eared audience members, without being too in-yer-face.
