The Cheese Man was a somewhat enigmatic character who appeared independently and totally randomly in the dreams of Buffy, Willow, Xander and Giles after a primordial spell merged them in order to defeat the cyborg Adam. Fans have tried to find deeper meanings for the bizarre character (the cheese represents Buffy? Joss Whedon knows Buffy is a cheesy show?), but Whedon himself has confirmed there is no meaning to him, and now his very existence causes nothing but confusion.
