20 Awesome DC TV Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

18. Nods To Other Batman TV Shows (Gotham)

Fox

Gotham is not the first Batman TV series, and the show does take the time to pay homage to those that have come before it, both live-action and animated. The show takes inspiration for the look of its Gotham quite a lot of Batman: The Animated Series, in that blend of old and new buildings and cars and so on. This is compounded when the address for Wayne Manor is given as 1007 Mountain Drive, which is the address used in an episode of B:ATS.

Then there are the references to the Adam West series from the 60s. The shows couldn't be more different in tone, but Gotham still references it, with examples including a Shakespeare bust in Wayne Manor, which hid the button that made the Batcave accessible, and Bruce bringing Alfred a bottle of wine from the year 1966 - the same one the show started.
