20 Best Batman TV Episodes Ever
2. 'The Purr-fect Crime'/'Better Luck Next Time' (Batman '66)
Batman '66 would give the Tomb Raider game series a run for its money when it comes to inventive ways to potentially kill off their protagonists, but none of the show's other cliffhangers felt like they carried the sheer gravity of this one. The sight of Batman attempting to battle a giant tiger was something that made even the Caped Crusader look mortal and having already been put through the ringer by Catwoman's spiked wall-trap, we had to wonder if the lady's tiger would prove to be too much for even him.
As far as introductions go, this two-parter was one of the show's most profoundly successful as Julie Newmar's Catwoman was portrayed like the femme fatale we now know her to be. She was beautiful, occasionally affectionate but always formidable and that made her deadliest villain of them all. And though Batman overcame her trap in the end, it was easy to see why Catwoman quickly became one of the show's most reliable villains.
Without question, one of Batman '66's finest hours.
