How different things could have been! Towards the close of the pilot episode, before people had even heard of the name Heisenberg, Walt attempts to blow his brains out. Putting a gun to his chin, he pulls the trigger, only to find the safety was still on. Rather than the expected police cars coming to arrest him, a group of fire trucks arrive. Walt quickly stashes the gun and returns home to sexually invigorate his wife in a way she'd long since forgotten the feeling of. Walt, is that you? she wonders. Yup. Still alive and about to change television history. Thanks to a safety he forgot to take off.
